Ready meals grow in transparency   The turnover of single portion’s ready-meals has progressed by +2.4% over the last 12 months.
If we include vegetable recipes it goes up to 5.3%. Around 60.3% of French households buy them regularly and visit the outlet’ section in average 7.1 times a year.
However, with consumers being suspicious with regard to ultra-processed products, ready-meals manufacturers can be concerned.

The French Government will finally publish the ordinance on prices   The ordinance on the threshold for reselling at a loss and discounts measures will be presented to the French Cabinet ministers.

They should be implemented from 1st of February 2019. Initially, the increase of the threshold for reselling at a loss (+10%) will be compulsory from 1st February

Spanish trade mission in Paris…and one to one sessions in Amsterdam   Together with its partner, the Chamber of Commerce France-Spain in Barcelona, Sutralis welcomed a delegation of Spanish companies in Paris from 26 to 28 November.

Over these 3 days, Sutralis organised one to one sessions with distributors and wholesalers based in Rungis, the world’s largest wholesale market, but also with main players in the food service industry such as Pomona.

And we are happy to say that this mission has been a success as first orders are now being processed just before Christmas!

A few weeks later, the team was traveling to Amsterdam to attend the first event organized by our new in-market partner, Consultancy France, where we met with 8 Dutch food&drink companies willing to export to France. We provided facts and figures about the market and tailored advise to help them to better understand how their product could fit the French market.

It was a great opportunity to confirm first thoughts about the market, and we are delighted to announce that some companies have already asked Sutralis to support them in their export project in France!
